·          A narrative story

A story the writer's made by herself, enjoy :)

Adopted Princess

A long time ago, there lived a farmer with his own daughter in a small village. The daughter was very beautiful, she also kind and polite to everyone. She loved her father very much, every day she always helped her father in the field. Everybody loved her because of her kindness and humbleness. The people usually called her, Princess.

One day, the poor man got a very bad sick and died. The princess was very sad. Now she lived alone in this world. But she was so lucky because there were two men who really wanted to adopt her. The first man was very rich but the other was very poor, poorer than her father was. And then the princess chose the rich one, she thought if she lived with the rich, she didn’t have to feel a destitute life anymore.

“I have decided. I choose the rich man. I guess it’s time for me to survive from this suffer of poorness. And live with him would be very enjoyable than you poor man. Do you have enough riches to keep me alive in your pocket as he was?” She said.

“No, I don’t have any, my Princess. But I’ll treat you like my own blood child if you’re willing to be my daughter.” The poor man answered.

“It was not as easy as you said. Life is full of struggle. You'll never understand how difficult it was to survive from poverty with no possessions, until I have to lose my father. I'm tired of being poor.” She replied with tears in her eyes.

“But I have a lot of love and affection to be given to a daughter that I’ve never had.”

“Then find another daughter!” She screamed at the poor man.

Ashamed, is what he felt. And then, he left the princess house. The poor man said to himself ‘It’s okay. I’m not as rich as he was. Someday I’m going to be richer than him to prove that I could, that I am deserve to adopt you, my Princess.’

The pure-hearted princess now became bad. In the rich man house, she lived happily with full of riches. Day by day, she just squandered every riches that the rich man has. She became very lazy and wicked. Moreover in each day, the rich man was always busy with his occupied. She simply ignored and does whatever she wants. No one noticed and care about her. Until one day the rich man house was burned by a fire accident. It’s such a huge fire. There’s no one to help and put out the fire. Suddenly the poor man came and put out the fire by himself. The fire was successfully extinguished even in a long time. Everything was burned down and became ashes.

She cried. Now her house has been razed to the ground. Her body was dirty, full of black dust. Now he had to lost his father for the second time. In that fire accident, the rich man died and the Princess became very poor than she ever was.

He approached her and calm her down. He wiped her tears and hugged her. ‘Everything will be just fine, I’m here now’ he whispered to make her sure. Princess felt very guilty. Now she knows who really loved her. How could he have wasted the poor man? She was so sorry for what he had done to the poor man and apologized to him. At the end of the story, when the poor man became rich, he finally adopted the princess. The princess realized that lived with full of riches is nothing. The most important thing is you lived with the people that love you more than they love themselves. Even they became rich, the Princess has returned to her previously. She is still diligent at work and helpful. And they lived happily ever after.
